Fight The Battle Of The Bulge With What?

What would you say if I told you about a not-so-secret elixir that requires no prescription from a physician, comes with zero side-effects and is real cheap to obtain?  Now, what would you say if I told you that taking this ‘medicine’ before every meal you could win the battle of the bulge permanently?  Would you like to give it a try?

If you answered YES but were wondering where you could get this magical potion, I will tell you: simply take a glass, walk to your faucet and fill it up with WATER!  That’s right; water!!

Believe it or not, a recent study has just been released telling us what we should already know; that two cups of water prior to every meal will result in weight loss!  Who would have thought, right?

Over a twelve week period, researchers had dieters drink water before their meals three times a day and discovered an average weight loss of five pounds more than those who did not drink water prior to eating their meals. The conclusion may or may not amaze you.  It was determined that the main reason those who drank water before each meal lost more weight was because they filled their stomachs with water instead of food. Well, what a surprise!

It took the experts so-called to once again tell us what we should already know.  By ingesting more water, we fill our stomachs with a no-calorie, no side-effect liquid that is both inexpensive to come by and gives us that full feeling that is all too often accomplished with consuming high calorie food.  Simply put, water is a safe and effective way to address weight gain issues.

Even though it is not surprising that water consumption is a good thing in more ways than one, we as a people still need the scientific community to tell us how good water is for us.  Why this is baffles the imagination.  However, since we seem to require, even demand, that both the science and medical professions tell us what is and what is not good for us, this news nonetheless reinforces the fact that drinking water before meals automatically reduces the intake of calories through food consumption because it fills our stomachs with a zero calorie liquid.

It should also go without saying that drinking more water is not the cure-all we hope it would be.  We also need to reduce our caloric consumption if we are to experience any significant weight loss.  And that may require a new exercise: pushaways!

One final note: It is also a fact that, when people consume more water in place of sugary drinks, the weight will also come off.

So, put down both the fork and that glass of soda and drink more water to both lose the weight and gain back your health!
