About Us
As a homeschooling mom of eight children I’ve always been interested in nutrition and health. I’m 55 now and over the last few years I’ve put on an extra 25 pounds that I’ve had a very tough time losing. Herein begins my journey of looking for a healthy diet that will propel me into the weight loss I need and then re-strategizing my lifestyle so weight is not an obsession.
I really believe that as we get older and our lives become more sedentary we have to learn how to ‘tweak’ our lifestyles to keep up with the changes in our body. We don’t have to give in to the myth that we will gain weight as we get older.
So…..follow along with me and also join me in my quest for better health and vibrant health in my latter years. I know we can do it.

3/19/10 – UPDATE: I’ve lost a total of 20 pounds! The last 5-7 seem to be the toughest!
